HOMEWORK

Nepalese Schoolchildren with THEIR homework!

Students in my class can expect to have homework most evenings. Their homework should not be something that they need a lot of help to complete, although a little encouragement and problem-solving from parents is always appreciated. Please contact me if you have questions about an assignment or if your child isn't bringing home homework regularly.

Now, down to business...

We all know that the more we do something, the easier it becomes. This includes reading. My goal is more reading both at school and home, and deeper understanding and thinking along the way. One way we do this is through daily reading at home. In the seventh grade this is recorded on a R@SH form.

I've asked each student to read a minimum of 150 minutes each week. This works out to about 30 minutes a day for at least 5 days each week(15-20 pages.) After finishing, they should complete their R@SH form. This usually takes about 5 minutes. There is no R@SH this week.

This assignment will not appear below.
