NOTICE OF OPENING

New Middle School Planning Team; six or seven teachers to work with Gary Callison, Planning Principal. Planning Team members will be assigned to the new middle school.

To assist in planning for and opening the new middle school in 1993.

Currently employed as a teacher in the Wenatchee School District.

Interest in developing the "best yet" in middle school programs with a focus on assuring success for all students, and building a positiveschool climate for students and staff.

Interest and ability in being a positive, productive team member of a student-centered program.

Willingness to study, understand, and promote the middle school philosophy and look at current innovations in middle level education and their applications to the new middle school in Wenatchee.

Interest in exploring "caring groups" (Advisory, STAR, etc.) to further student adjustment and self esteem. Interest in seeking district training in technology and applying this training to classroom instruction and management.

Willingness to make a time commitment to facility, instructional, and student activities planning. This commitment might include released time days, after school meetings, workshops, and school visitations.
