In the Constructivist theory the emphasis is placed on the learner or the student rather than the teacher or the instructor. It is the learner who interacts with objects and events and thereby gains an understanding of the features held by such objects or events. The learner, therefore, constructs his/her own conceptualizations and solutions to problems. Learner autonomy and initiative is accepted and encouraged.
Constructivists view learning as the result of mental construction. Students learn by fitting new information together with what they already know. People learn best when they activle construct their own understanding.
In constructivist thinking
learning is also affected by the context and the beliefs and
attitudes of the learner. Learners are encouraged to invent their own
solutions and to try out dieas and hypotheses. They are given the
opportunity to build on prior knowledge.

Reciprocal Teaching is an instructional strategy for teaching strategic reading developed by Annemarie Sullivan Palincsar that takes place in the form of a dialogue between teachers and students. In this dialogue the teacher and students take turns assuming the role of teacher in leading the dialogue about a passage of text. Four strategies are used by the group members in the dialogue: summarizing, question generating, clarifying, and predicting. At the start the adult teacher is principally responsible for initiating and sustaining the dialogue through modelling and thinking out loud. As students acquire more practice with the dialogue, the teacher consciously imparts responsibility for the dialogue to the students, while becoming a coach to provide evaluative information and to prompt for more and higher levels of participation.

With inferential statistics, you are trying to reach conclusions that extend beyond the immediate data alone. For instance, we use inferential statistics to try to infer from the sample data what the population might think. Or, we use inferential statistics to make judgments of the probability that an observed difference between groups is a dependable one or one that might have happened by chance in this study. Thus, we use inferential statistics to make inferences from our data to more general conditions; we use descriptive statistics simply to describe what's going on in our data.

Qualitative analysis is an area of AI research attempting to model the everyday, qualitative, non-numerical reasoning humans use to estimate (the range of) possible solutions to some real-world problems, especially in the case of inexact or incomplete data. The qualitative reasoning is also a necessary foundation of the quantitative knowledge engineers use in their understanding and construction of physical systems or structures.
What is Qualitative Data Analysis?
Qualitative analysis techniques are the methods used for study of "ordinary information": the rich narrative of people talking, the field notes or videos of people at work and play, the "write-ins" on questionnaires that escape the straitjacket of statistics, the layered brilliance of a great novel's many meanings. From the schoolchild's essay based on textbook readings, to the
subtlety of the sociologist's analysis of long conversations, qualitative analysis is practised everywhere, an indispensible part of human thinking.
What Can I Do With Qualitative
Today, it is more a question of what cannot be done with qualitative analysis. Properlysupported by rigorous methods, qualitative research offers powerful and innovative techniques for exploration and discovery from unstructured information without oversimplifying it or losing its complexity and context. QDA techniques are used in many forms by social scientists, historians, literary critics, health researchers, business and market analysts, legal researchers, and others.
