STUDENTS:

  1. Attention all 6th Grade Girls: Wenatchee Valley Lacrosse will be holding a "check-it-out" night on Wednesday, January 16th from 7-8 pm for all 5th and 6th grade girls interested in playing lacrosse this spring.  It will be held in the gym at Mission View Elementary, at 60Terminal Avenue.  This is a great opportunity to learn a bit about the sport before committing to play, and meet other kids from throughout the valley. No need to sign up-just show up and have some fun, lacrosse sticks will be provided.  Flyers are available in the office for more information.
  1. 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys turning out for wrestling – your first practice will be held next Tuesday, the 22nd, from 3:00 to 4:15.  Please make sure you have your forms turned in and are cleared for practice by lunchtime on the 22nd.
  1. Please dismiss the students participating in the Jazz Workshop at 9:45 today.
  1. Falcon Flyers:  Cider and donuts will be served in the Library today during break.  If you submitted a Tally Folder for 1st Term, you are invited.  Pick up your Tally Folder from the tables outside the Library and come in for refreshments and awards.  The Challenge was met by: 24 6th Graders, 23 7th Graders, 31 8th Graders.  2nd Term Tally sheets are already filed in your Tally Folders.  Remember you can earn a space on the end-of-the-year enrichment field trips by participating both terms.
  1. If you lost a black coat in the gym please come to the office to identify it.
  1. Info is available in the office for girls interested in playing Softball through the Greater Wenatchee Girls Softball Association and boys interested in playing baseball through Wenatchee Youth Baseball.
  1. There is still time for you to request to join choir.  Please see Mrs. St. John during the 10 min. break if you are interested.
  1. Next week the Foothills Engineering Adventure Team (FEAT) will be meeting in Mrs. Lockhart's room 206at 3pm on Jan 24th.  Come ready to design and build your best ramp car.  Who's will go the farthest?  Sign-ups are next Wed. the 23rd if you are interested. 
  1. Eighth grade spellers still have a chance to try out for the Spelling Bee!  You are invited to come into Miss Fox's Room 212 today after school, at 2:50pm.
