Building a Caring Community
STUDENTS:
During 3rd Period, those students who received an invitation to The Write Stuff Assembly will join talented writers and readers from Orchard and Pioneer in the Gym. In the afternoon, the ELL students from all three middle schools will have the privilege of meeting with Mr. Soto in the Gym during 6th Period.
Today's special visit is sponsored by a One Book Grant Ms. Mowat received from the Washington State Library.
2. 7th & 8th grade soccer starts Monday, May 19th. Clearance forms are available in the office. Forms are due back to the office by Friday, May 16th.
3. After school Art Club will be held next week Wednesday and Thursday, May 14th & 15th, in Mrs. Lancaster's room 107. This month the focus will be on artist Alexander Calder who is known for his metal sculptures and mobiles. If you are interested in this session, please see Mrs. Lancaster for a ticket.
4. If you can't make it to Art Club next week because of your other activities, perhaps you would like to join the PTSA Art & Drama Committee for the Mother's Day gift making in the library. Three sessions will be offered starting tomorrow and ending on Friday. Please remember to take the first 10 minutes to eat your lunch before heading to the library.
