Sunday April 1 |
|
We were packed and on the road to Monticello by 7:30. We toured Thomas Jefferson's home and grounds. The day was cloudy but still quite comfortable. After Monticello we had a giant chicken dinner at Michies Tavern. After lunch we had a tour of the tavern--the students (and parents) had an opportunity to work on a colonial dance. We concluded our day by seeing the play "Meet John Doe" at Ford's Theater. Everyone appeared ready to go to bed as we arrived at our hotel in Tyson's Corner at about 10:15. Tomorrow we have our wreath laying at Arlington. |
