Tuesday started with a stop at the Iwo Jima Memorial. It was a little damp When we first got off the bus but it soon dried up and stayed nice for the rest of the day.
Our next stop was at Arlington National Cemetery where we learned some of the history of the cemetery and watched a Changing of the Guard Ceremony. The highlight was laying a Wenatchee wreath.
Lunch was at the Reagan Office building food court.
After lunch we visited the Holocaust Museum (we had several students who would have like to stay longer)
The Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial were next and then off to dinner.
After dinner we went past the Capitol building and stopped at the World War II Memorial.
We arrived back at the hotel at 9:15 and all students are now sound asleep (I'm sure most parents are also sound asleep).
