math:pencils , a spiral
notebook (120+ pages), textbook, a scientific calculator
(with fraction capabilities), a math peechee, and geometry
supplies ( a list will be shared later in the
year).
Attendance:
Attendance is required in
accordance with Foothills Middle School's Policy (See FMS
Handbook). A student will not be successful in pre-algebra
without being in regular attendance.
Classroom
Management: "Make
Your Day" is a citizenship program that encourages
students to "Do what is expected" and to "Do their best"
each period of each day. Students have the opportunity to
earn points which will enable them to "Make Their Day" each
school day.
Assessment/Evaluation:Grades
will be given at the end of each quarter. Mid- term reports
will be given to all students and will need to be signed by
parents and returned for points. Grades will be categorized
in three areas and weighted as
follows:Daily
Work(20%),Problem
Solving(40%),
Assessments(40%). The
grading scale will be:
