Dear 6th grade Family,
Welcome to Foothills Middle School!! I am excited to meet you and your child! He or she will be the most important student in this classroom. You are always welcomed in room 206
In this active learning room, we are exploring new horizons in literacy and social studies, working to improve our skills as thinkers and citizens. This unique year will allow your student to reach as far as he or she is able. My goal is to have fun, encourage mind stretching, and instill a love of learning . I wish for your child to think of 6th grade as his or her best school year ever.
The student planner must be used on a daily basis. All assignments and work completed in class are recorded in this planner. Homework assignments are to be circled for better viewing. Please check this planner daily and communicate concerns, joys or questions with me or your child. You are able to send a message to me through use of the planner, and I to you. Your child needs to show me the notes from you, and mine to you. This is a very important tool which will help your child be more successful.
I can always be reached via voice mail here at school: 664-8961 ext. 2206, and also via e-mail from the Wenatchee School District web site. Choose Foothills, and then choose Staff, and find my name. I urge you to forward questions and concerns this way. Phone numbers and messages can be left, and I will return them promptly. I am in the building at 7:40 am, usually until 3:30.
