The first few days of a new school year are an exciting time for students and staff. Teachers and principals are often filled with the same level of excitement as the students. It is a new beginning, a fresh start, and a chance to make new friends and enjoy the challenges of learning and growing. At Foothills Middle School we welcome you. Some of you have been with us for a few years; for others, you are joining our school community. We welcome 200 incoming sixth graders to our school this year. School is a big and important part of your son's or daughter's learning. We take that responsibility seriously. We also respect and honor the important part that you play in their education. There are many ways to support your son's or daughter's education and to let him/her know that you place a high value on the importance of school studies. Being visible around the school is certainly one. If you are able to join us in some capacity, please contact your son's or daughter's teacher or the school office at 664-8961.
There are many valuable ways you can support and encourage your son or daughter at home.
Life has its fluctuations in demands and priorities. We hope that this may be a year when you have time to be on school committees and be involved in our PTA. We are delighted and applaud you for making that choice. Other years your time with us may be necessarily limited. We respect and understand that decision. We know that being a good and loving parent is your most important priority. Whatever time you can give to our school is appreciated and honored. We fully recognize the pressures on today's families. Know that you are welcome. Know that your contributions to your son's or daughter's education, both at school and at home, are appreciated.
Sincerely,
Chad Morgan
Assistant Principal
