Back To Foothills

Mark O'Donnell
Memorial Page

For those of you who don't attend Foothills, Mr. O'Donnell was a sixth grade core teacher who died last year from cancer. We made a memorial for him in front of our baseball field, because baseball was his favorite sport. The memorial was started last year, and finally has been completed.

Mark O'Donnell's Memorial Dedication
May 13, 1998

Mark O'Donnell's Memorial Dedication was really nice, and we would like to thank everyone for joining us and helping out with the dedication/reception.

We would also like to thank everyone who helped prepare for this dedication and helped us put it all together.

The dedication started off with our principal, Mr. Callison, stating a few words. Four students then read what they remembered about him. Mr. Blauman said some words (actually a lot of words) followed by Mr. O's son, Matt. At the end our two ASB presidents, Amanda (1st Semester) and Rory 2nd Semester), thanked all people/businesses who helped make the memorial possible. Finally, our Assistant Principal Mr. Waldren said some words thanking us for coming.

The dedication was followed by a half-hour reception in the library.

The Mark O'Donnell Memorial Award is presented each
year to the student who "Exemplifies The Following Traits:
A Caring Heart, Honesty, Respectfulness,
Cheerfulness, and 'Never, Never Quits'
".
