“FMS…a respectful, responsible and supportive learning community committed to rigorous and relevant learning for all.”

Indeed, FMS is a learning community that embraces a strong academic focus, encourages students in their personal and educational aspirations, teaches and models respect among students and adults alike, and develops citizenship through teaching personal responsibility.

Yes, this is our purpose.  Our vision is “every day, every child, a success.”  Have we arrived?  Absolutely not, but we are on the way.  We know that students learn best when they are individually valued and provided with:

•a safe and secure place to learn (inviting classroom and school);           

•clear learning targets (focus);

•relevant instruction (personally meaningful);

•positive adult and student role models (learning by watching) and;

•recognition of personal accomplishments (celebrating success).

As educational professionals, we strive to learn from what we practice.  Our goal is to continuously improve in order to provide the best possible educational experience for your child.
